The 5 Best Things to Do and See in Kuala Lumpur

There are many tourist attractions that you can find in Kuala Lumpur that you definitely have to visit before you die. I happen to find a lot of cheap souvenirs in Chinatown and I also filled up my tummy with Malaysia’s diverse food culture in the streets of Jalan Alor.

Whether you want to visit places of worship, party until you drop with some beautiful escort girls, or you just want some great places to visit with your friends and family, Kuala Lumpur is a city that never disappoints.

Today, I am going to be going over the best things to do and see while you’re in Malaysia’s capital city.

Batu Caves

The first one on the list is arguably one of the best tourist attractions in the city. The Batu Caves is popular among tourists for a lot of different reasons.

First, you can find a large golden statue of Lord Murugan that greets you upon you enter the sacred place. Second, you will definitely catch the sight of the rainbow-colored steps that lead to the temples inside the caves.

Third, once you do enter the caves, you will find many different sculptures and stunning temples where you can worship Hindu Gods as well. And, once you are done, you can go back down and interact with the monkeys if you want.

Sri Mahamariamman Temple

When you try to speak of the temple’s name, it is quite a handful, but I really suggest that you visit this when you are in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sri Mahamariamman Temple is the richest and oldest Hindu Temple in the city and it is open to visitors as early as 6 AM up to 8:30 in the evening.

This towering temple is actually built in a unique way so people who want to take pictures and post them in their socials will definitely love the picturesque temple.

Even though going inside the temple is for free, you may have to give a small fee to the shoe keeper as any footwear will not be permitted in the temple grounds.

Jalan Alor

The street of Jalan Alor might be bland during the day, but I am telling you, it comes to life during the night. Starting at 5 PM every day, the streets of Jalan Alor turn into a cultural food hub where you can find many different food options from different cultures.

You see, Malaysia is inspired by neighboring Asian countries, as well as some European flairs as well and it is quite evident in the foods that you can see in this premier food strip.

You will definitely have to put some stretchy pants on since you will be tempted to try as many different foods as you like.

Heli Lounge Bar

If you want to spend the night in such a unique way, I highly recommend that you visit the Heli Lounge Bar.

As you can probably tell by the name of the establishment, you can sip your favorite alcoholic drinks or their signature martinis, all while you are on a helipad.

Helicopter landing pad during the day and a lively bar at night, the Heli Lounge Bar should definitely have a spot in your itinerary when you are in Kuala Lumpur.

Perdana Botanical Garden

I want to cap things off by recommending a place that you can visit after a night of partying. The Perdana Botanical Gardens is a huge place that allows you to take a stroll while embracing what nature has to offer.

The lush green foliage coupled with some amazing ambiance makes this a perfect place for rest and relaxation.
